Messingham Juniors Under 7’s have kicked off the football season in style with a great away win at Gainsborough Trinity.
The team, plays at the Messingham Memorial Playing Field in the Liberty Steel  Under 7’s Junior Football Ultimate League they will be looking to set the pitches ablaze in their red and black strip proudly sponsored by Thomas Bell Country Store.

Paul Lindsey, Manager of the team, said: -
“We’re very grateful to Thomas Bell for sponsoring the kit. The sponsorship means the kids can feel a part of the team and has given them an identity.”

Matt Dawson, director of Thomas Bell, who is passionate about youth football and sport stressed the importance of encouraging young people to take up and participate in sport, saying:-

“It’s great to be in a position where we can help the local community”.

“Sport is a very important part of growing up. It not only keeps you healthy but allows you to develop communication skills. Youth football plays an important role in this and gives young people skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. I hope that by sponsoring the kit for Messingham Juniors Under 7’s we are helping the players really feel part of a team and will encourage more young people to get involved.”

Home matches are played every fortnight on a Saturday at 10am and everyone is welcome to come along and support the team.
