An opportunity has opened up at Thomas Bell & Sons Ltd based in Brigg. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team on a permanent full-time basis

Reporting to the Company Accountant, you will be responsible for the timely production of monthly management accounts along with preparing information for the annual audit

MAIN DUTIES

-       Preparing profit and loss accounts for different departments of the business, and collating the information for the monthly accounts

-       Payroll preparation and processing

-       Analysis of costs and overheads

-       Bank reconciliations

-       Calculating prepayments and accruals

-       Maintaining the fixed asset register and calculating depreciation

-       Attending a monthly stock count and reconciling stock records from our ports

-       Sales ledger and purchase ledger reconciliations

-       Preparing quarterly VAT returns

What you need

-       AAT qualified. Working towards ACCA, ACA or CIMA preferred but not essential

-       Familiar with Sage accounting packages

-       Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

-       Accuracy and attention to detail

-       Good organisational skills and good time management

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
